Ms McArthur said it was a \u201cgreat shame\u201d the shire had decided to increase the amount of rent it charged \u201cfor dubious commercial reasons\u201d. \u201cSpending $20,000 of ratepayers money on facilitators to engage in \u2018community consultation\u2019 was a serious waste of money because it was patently obvious that the Winchelsea community believed Philomena was providing an excellent service to both the<br \/>\ncommunity and Winchelsea visitors, while carefully looking after the building and its artefacts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheeseman works to bring\u00a0<\/strong><strong>mail to Ashbury Estate<\/strong><br \/>\nSOUTH Barwon MP Darren Cheeseman says he has contacted Australia Post and the City of Greater Geelong in as part of his efforts to get a \u201cgenuine\u201d household mail service to Ashbury Estate. He said it was \u201cunacceptable\u201d that residents in the development had been without household mail for eight months. \u201cI am lobbying hard to get this service delivered for Ashbury Estate as soon as possible, because they shouldn\u2019t have to wait another day for their mail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geelong Youth Innovation\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Summit begins soon<\/strong><br \/>\nTHE Geelong Youth Innovation Summit will be held in Geelong from May 10-12.
