THE Anglesea Lions Club coordinated a sportsperson night recently at the Anglesea Hotel to raise money for new seating and shelters at the Anglesea Netball Courts.<\/p>\n
The netball club needed to raise $9,500, with the balance of the cost of the project to be provided by the Surf Coast Shire.<\/p>\n
The night was a great success with 150 people attending and listening to guest speakers Tegan Phillip, Patrick Dangerfield and Andrew Bews being interviewed by Coodabeen Champion Ian Cover.<\/p>\n
The night raised $8,000. The remaining $1,500 of the target will be made up jointly by the Anglesea Lions Club and Anglesea Community Bank.<\/p>\n
