Formed in 2011 by frontman and guitarist Levi Anderson, the band has since evolved into a talented local trio comprising of Liam Brennan (bass) and Kane Sherriff (drums). The Kite Machine\u2019s latest record features 10 tracks which each hero \u201cexplosive lyrics, complex time signatures and fuzzed up hooks\u201d. The Kite Machine\u2019s gig kicks off at 8pm at Moorabool Street\u2019s Barwon Club Hotel. Tickets are $23.50 per person (includes booking fee) and available via tickets.oztix.com.au.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SATURDAY 15\/6<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>GET CRAFTY<\/strong><br \/>\nLearn to paint with gouache at Geelong Illustrators studio gallery this Saturday in a fun, friendly and creative environment. The workshop will demonstrate to participants the technical skills in using gouache to create a nature illustration. Overseen by artist Mandy Dollery, all materials are supplied on the day. Ella Hooper made her mark on the Australian music scene at age 13 when she won triple j\u2019s unearthed competition which has seen her continue to write and create catchy pop ballads. Hooper has also spent time working as a radio host, TV presenter and DJ. Hooper\u2019s one-hour show will see her showcase new tunes to her Geelong fanbase.
