A CITY of Greater Geelong Council panel is considering more than 50 submissions on a range of topics relating to the 2019 20 Budget and Council Plan update.<\/p>\n
A Submissions Review Panel, chaired by Councillor Stephanie Asher, met at City Hall last week to consider 52 written public submissions.<\/p>\n
It will now determine items for recommendation to Council, ahead of the adoption of the Budget and Council Plan update 2019-20.<\/p>\n
All submitters received an invitation to attend the panel hearing and speak to their specific matter.<\/p>\n
Among those to present to the panel were Barwon Heads Football and Netball Club, which sought funding support for its ground maintenance, and Ocean Grove Cobras Junior Football Club, which sought matching funding for the development of a pavilion at Collendina Reserve.<\/p>\n
Cr Asher thanked all the community members who took the time to provide a submission and to those who presented directly to the panel.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s good to see so many people making the most of their opportunity to participate in this important process,\u201d Cr Asher said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe council will now carefully consider all submissions before we make a final decision on the Budget and Council Plan update later this month.\u201d<\/p>\n
Council will receive a report containing recommendations from the Submissions Review Panel, which will be considered when the Councilmeets to adopt the Budget and Council Plan update on June 25.<\/p>\n
The outcomes of all submissions will be provided to submitters in writing following the meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
