Mantra Lorne will celebrate and commemorate 149 years of accommodation of its centrepiece, Erskine House, with a Garden Party charity event from 2pm on Saturday, October 28.<\/p>\n
The Garden Party is also a major fundraising initiative for the Luke Batty Foundation, the resort\u2019s official charity partner, to raise much-needed funds for domestic violence prevention and awareness.<\/p>\n
Entry to the garden party, as well as kids\u2019 games, outdoor movies and entertainment is provided at no cost, with food and drinks available to purchase.<\/p>\n
Local musicians, including slide guitarist and singer\/songwriter Tim Hulsman, will provide live entertainment throughout the afternoon.<\/p>\n
A fast 4\u2019s doubles tennis tournament will be played on the property\u2019s tennis court from 3pm, with tickets $20 per team. To register a team, contact lorne.fbs@mantra.com.au by Wednesday, October 25.<\/p>\n
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Luke Batty Foundation.<\/p>\n
Mantra Lorne general manager Abraham Dow said he encourages the local community to come along and to share in an afternoon of entertainment.<\/p>\n
