Round 11 of the Winter Classic saw some large scores posted. Paul Martonhelyi [25] finished the day in pole position, scoring a whopping 40 points! Runner up went to Rodger Licheni [18] on 37 points, with Roger Bain [5] rounding out the podium on 35 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 33 points, with first place getter Paul Martonhelyi (5<sup>th<\/sup> hole, 5.00m) and Stephen Sutcliffe (13<sup>th<\/sup> hole, 3.03m) taking home prizes for nearest to pins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday August 22<\/strong> \u2013\u00a03 Person Ambrose (Red Tees). 3 Person Ambrose off the Red Tees for the Womens competition today, which was a nice change up. Team Hales, Browne and Muller top scored with a score of 68.167. Team Trevena, Whitnall and Swain were the runners up on 69.667. The nearest to pins went to Wendy Muller (5<sup>th<\/sup> hole) and Judi Bullock (13<sup>th<\/sup> hole).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday August 24<\/strong> \u2013 Men\u2019s Individual and 2 Person Aggregate Stableford\u2013 (Blue Tees) Women\u2019s Individual and 2 Person Aggregate Stableford \u2013 (Red Tees). Beautiful morning for golf, with the sun shining and wind blowing. Afternoon golfers had it tough, as the winds picked up and the rain started to fall. In A Grade, Rob Danby [6], fuelled by his morning Carmen\u2019s Bar and Purple Powerade ritual, took out top spot and the highest score of the day. 36 points. Luke Muller [1] was close behind on 35 points. B Grade saw a c\/b result, with John Girling [17] pipping Gavin Saunders [14] on 34 points. C Grade saw Tim Freer [21] just outlast Neil Trevena [25], finishing on 29 points to Neil\u2019s 28 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 32 points, with Paul Sexton (5<sup>th<\/sup> hole, 1.43m), Paul Beighton (13<sup>th<\/sup> hole, 0.52m) and Luke Muller (17<sup>th<\/sup> hole, 1.30m) taking home the nearest to pins. A massive congratulations to visitor Michael Roche who managed a hole-in-one on the Par 3 7<sup>th<\/sup> hole! Great stuff!<\/p>\n<p>In the additional 2 Person Aggregate competition, Luke Muller and Travis Agg had the highest combined score of 69 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the Women\u2019s competition, Marg Hales [10] continued her run of hot form, finishing in 1<sup>st<\/sup> place on 35 points. Maggie Juniper [31] was the runner up for the day on 34 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 32 points, with Paulette Payne taking home the nearest to pin on the 7<sup>th<\/sup> hole (2.40m). And, would you believe it, we had another hole-in-one today! Christine Brackin managed to ace the Par 3 13<sup>th<\/sup>! Amazing effort!<\/p>\n<p>In the additional 2 Person Aggregate competition, Marg Hales and Sharpshooter Brackin blitzed the field, combining for highest score of 64 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday August 25<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Stableford Medley (Blue and Red Tees). Chilly morning but the sun came out and removed some of the bite that the wind had.
