Having recently appointed Kieran O\u2019Dwyer as senior financial planner, Kieran will contribute over 15 years of industry experience with capabilities in wealth management, superannuation, self-managed super funds (SMSF), wealth protection and risk management.<\/p>\n
Kieran, who previously worked in Melbourne with a specialist SMSF practice and mid-tier accounting firm, is thrilled to be working in his local community.<\/p>\n
He said he sees the value in assisting clients with professional advice to build, manage and protect their wealth within the ever-changing investment, regulatory and retirement landscape.<\/p>\n

When Kieran is not at the Muirfield Torquay office on Bristol Road, you will find him actively involved in his local community through his affiliations with the Torquay Football Club, Torquay Surf Life Saving Club and Torquay parkrun.<\/p>\n

– We are at an all-time low interest rate cycle \u2013 the opportunity to accelerate debt repayments (particularly on your family home) has never been greater.
\n– Look long-term \u2013 Trump trade wars, Brexit, credit crisis etc. There will always be a reason to not invest, however the longer-term markets will always sort through the noise.
\n– Yield is low: be careful of a yield trap \u2013 don\u2019t buy something on yield alone, protecting capital is just as important.
\n– There will always be risk (investment, market, economic, credit, personal etc). Our job is to manage risk, not avoid it.<\/p>\n
