Murphys is one of Geelong\u2019s oldest pubs and is filled with history, character and charm. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Since four mates (Tom, Shaun, Ian & Daniel) took over the building in 2016 they have done some major renovations, including a rooftop bar.<\/p>\n

With a friendly pub atmosphere, there is now something for everyone \u2013 a vibrant front bar, restaurant and dual level rooftop bar.<\/p>\n

Since opening the rooftop bar to the public in 2018, which includes both a \u00a0rooftop terrace and third level sky garden providing uninterrupted views of \u00a0Corio Bay, the You Yangs and even the city of Melbourne, it has no doubt become Geelong\u2019s go-to venue and premier rooftop bar.<\/p>\n

Co-owner Shaun Aspinall said that after two years of research \u2013 to more than 50 venues in Melbourne and overseas \u2013 the inspiration of the revamped venue was a Dublin-meets-Fitzroy vibe.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you go to an Irish pub in Dublin, it wouldn\u2019t have \u2018Irish\u2019 in the name. We are unmistakably and unashamedly an Australian pub too \u2013 Dublin meets Fitzroy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have worked really hard at creating the right vibe in the venue and on everything that makes pubs great \u2013 friendly staff, live music, sports, quality pub meals and plenty of beers, wines, cocktails and spirits. We are genuinely passionate about creating \u00a0a great customer experience and you won\u2019t find any pokies or TAB.\u201d<\/p>\n

Centrally located on Aberdeen Street with a private carpark at the rear, Murphys<\/a> is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week from 12pm till late.<\/p>\n
