THE award-winning City of Greater Geelong STREETFACE exhibition has been revived, with 14 council buildings around Geelong now works of thought-provoking art. <\/p>\n
Coinciding with WorkSafe Victoria\u2019s Health and Safety Month, the latest installation of STREETFACE is a visual ode to how young workers from the city are \u201csafety champions\u201d. <\/p>\n
Following on from its previous theme \u2013 \u201cHaving A Say\u201d \u2013 the new series saw workers share their stories about how people can champion safety at their workplace, regardless of their position, occupation or industry sector. <\/p>\n
Deputy mayor Kylie Grzybek said the exhibition was a fantastic platform to spread the message.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe STREETFACE exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the many young people in our region creating safe and healthy environments at work.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope the images remind and encourage passers-by to think about practical ways they can improve safety in their own workplaces.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new STREEFACES will be displayed at Busport, Civic Carpark, City Hall, Corio Library, Fort Youth Centre, Geelong Arts Centre, Geelong West Library, Geelong West Senior Citizens Centre, Grovedale Neighbourhood Centre, Highton Library, Leisurelink, Geelong Arena, Ocean Grove Library and West Town Hall. <\/p>\n
STREETFACE, which debuted in 2010, was produced by the city\u2019s Youth Development and Health and Safety. Previous campaigns have centred around NAIDOC Week, the Having a Say Conference and National Youth Week. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
