{"id":31285,"date":"2019-10-31T00:37:17","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T14:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=31285"},"modified":"2019-10-30T13:40:58","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T03:40:58","slug":"big-festival-little-creatures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/big-festival-little-creatures\/","title":{"rendered":"Little Creatures puts on a BIG day of music"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE first Little Creatures Born In Geelong (BIG) Festival has been hailed as a success, and its organisers are planning on making it an annual event.<\/p>\n<p>Held at the South Geelong Brewery, the music festival sold 2,700 of its 3,000 tickets as the crowd rocked out to artists including Ball Park Music, Allday, Alex Lahey, British India and Alice Ivy over 10 hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From the calibre of the performances to the food offering through to the behaviour of the crowd, we couldn\u2019t have asked for much more, other than slightly better weather,\u201d Little Creatures Brewing hospitality operations manager Scott Campbell said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, the sun came out when it counted and all of the artists just went with it, we even had a rainbow appear over Alex Lahey\u2019s set.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said more than 100 tickets were purchased at the gate, \u201cwhich means that people could see via our social media how great the event was, and just how good a time people were having\u201d.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31287\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31287\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-31287\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Allday-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Allday-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Allday-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Allday-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Allday.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31287\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rapper Allday had the crowd jumping.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mr Campbell said the festival was a true celebration of Geelong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeveral of the artists paying tribute to our great town including Alice Ivy shouting out South Geelong Primary School and Alex Lahey yelling \u201cGo Cats!\u201d at the end of her set.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe K rock BIG Sessions stage was a hit with competition winners Hold\/\/Fire a highlight.
