We all have men in our lives. Fathers, partners, sons, brothers, friends. <\/strong><\/p>\n

They all face a health crisis that no one is talking about. Men are dying too young.<\/p>\n

On average, men die six years younger than women; sadly, for reasons which are largely preventable.<\/p>\n

It shouldn\u2019t and doesn\u2019t have to be this way. There are actions we can all take to live longer, happier, healthier lives.<\/p>\n

Movember is the leading independent global charity changing the face of men\u2019s health – addressing the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate and testicular cancers, mental health and suicide prevention.<\/p>\n

Throughout the month of November, millions of moustaches sprout throughout the world to raise vital funds and awareness of the greatest health challenges faced by men.<\/p>\n

In the past 15 years, Movember has funded more than 1,200 men\u2019s health projects around the world. By 2030, they aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25 per cent.<\/p>\n

How does it work? Living, breathing, walking, talking billboards known as \u201cMo Bro\u2019s\u201d commit to grow their moustache throughout the month of November, prompting conversations wherever they go.<\/p>\n

But simply talking about it isn\u2019t enough – a crucial role of being a Mo Bro is to raise funds for men\u2019s health.<\/p>\n

Can\u2019t grow a caterpillar? You can still get involved! Mo Sistas are encouraged to host events, or simply to support the Bro in their life.<\/p>\n

Throughout Movember, men are encouraged to make man time – check in, hang out and have open conversations with their mates. To check in with themselves – get to know what\u2019s normal for their body and chat to their doctor if something doesn\u2019t feel right. And, to get moving – it\u2019s ok to spend time doing things that make you happy. Let\u2019s stop men dying too young.<\/p>\n
