POLICE have recovered the fuselage of the plane that crashed off the coast of the Bellarine Peninsula on January 29.<\/p>\n
Search and rescue divers and water police brought the wreckage of the plane\u2019s main compartment to the surface on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The engine block, propeller and part of the fuselage were found on the seabed at a depth of 33 metres about four kilometres offshore between Point Lonsdale and Barwon Heads.<\/p>\n
The wreckage was found using a remote operated vehicle and taken by barge to Williamstown to be inspected by investigators.<\/p>\n
A 68-year-old Noble Park man, a 63-yearold Black Rock woman, a 65-year-old Black Rock man and a 55-year-old Mordialloc man were on board the aircraft that took off from the Moorabbin Airport on February 3.<\/p>\n
