Surf Coast Shire<\/a> council could support such a variety of causes.<\/p>\n\u201cA wonderfully diverse mix of projects were presented with grants; from improvements to the Anglesea Community Garden to history trail signage to equipment needed to set up the Surf Coast Volleyball Association.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI know how difficult it can be for groups to raise money, so these grants make a big difference in helping them to get important community projects up and running.\u201d<\/p>\n
The other people and groups to receive the grants were Eliza Feely (supported by Surf Coast Arts), Anglesea and District Historical Society, Torquay and District Historical Society, Torquay Museum without Walls, Aireys Inlet Primary School Parents and Friends, Lifechanger Foundation Anglesea Community Garden, Torquay Community Men’s Shed, Anglesea Art House, 1st Torquay Scout Group, Bonnie Upwelling Choir, Surf Coast Volleyball Association, Upper Barwon Landcare Group, Heartspace Users Group, Modewarre Scout Group, Growing Winchelsea, and Torquay Golf Club.<\/p>\n
Cr Rose Hodge said the grants not only benefited the recipients, but also the community in general.<\/p>\n
