Dancing with Parkinson\u2019s \u2013 which began on the Surf Coast about four years ago \u2013 is a six-week program directed by dancer and percussionist Jacqui Dreessens. <\/p>\n
The inclusive sessions see people affected by Parkinson\u2019s engage in social dancing to encourage mobility. <\/p>\n
Parkinson\u2019s Victoria is presently involved in a clinical trial with research partner La Trobe University to determine the best dosage of dance exercise for people living with Parkinson\u2019s disease. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe ParkinDance pilot will develop, assess and refine a therapeutic dance program for people living with Parkinson\u2019s,\u201d the organisation said in a statement. <\/p>\n
