THE Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club and CFA South West are inviting people to attend their Bushfire Planning Workshop in Fairhaven on Thursday, January 9.<\/p>\n

The workshop will help people develop a step-by-step fire safety plan.<\/p>\n

The CFA will give people practical advice on their new or existing plans.<\/p>\n

The CFA is emphasising the great anxiety that bushfires create when they strike. It is thus important to have a well thought-out plan before the fire happens, ensuring people can make the right decision if the time comes.<\/p>\n

Attendees can share their ideas as well as local knowledge to help shape other people’s plans.<\/p>\n

The workshop at the Fairhaven SLSC clubhouse begins at 2.30pm and will run for two to three hours.<\/p>\n

CFA South West will also hold a similar workshop at Apollo Bay on January 18. This will begin at 10am.<\/p>\n

Community groups and clubs are able to arrange tailored fire safety sessions for their members by contacting their regional CFA headquarters.<\/p>\n

CFA provides Community Information Guides that offer information specific to people’s townships.<\/p>\n
