SCHOOL is in at St Catherine\u2019s, and families, pupils and staff alike celebrated the opening of the Catholic primary school in Armstrong Creek on Monday this week.<\/p>\n

The school on Warralily Boulevard welcomed 130 pupils on its first day. One of them was four-year-old Wonai Kamba, who only had a short distance to walk from her home nearby.<\/p>\n

On Monday morning, Wonai said she was looking forward to \u201ccolouring, painting and stories\u201d, and parents Shantelle and Taf admitted to being both excited and nervous.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the past few weeks, I was like \u2018Yay!\u2019, but then this morning it hit me \u2013 \u2018Oh my gosh, she is really going to school\u2019,\u201d Shantelle said.<\/p>\n

St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School<\/a> principal Donna Bryce said it was a big opportunity for her to be a new principal in a new school with new staff and a new cohort of pupils.<\/p>\n
