Flying Brick Cider Co is expected to be full to the brim next month when the venue hosts the inaugural Australian Cider Day. <\/p>\n
Officially endorsed by Cider Australia, the celebration has been organised to celebrate the humble Australian apple and pear, but more specifically its spin-off \u2013 cider.<\/p>\n
The Bellarine venue is the first cab off the rank to be involved in the national celebration, with the day set to include live music, food, cider, beer, wine, children\u2019s activities and cider making demonstrations. <\/p>\n
Kicking off at 10am on March 14, four popular tribute bands will perform throughout the day until 9pm.<\/p>\n
Night Fever \u2013 Bee Gees Revival will be the first to take to the stage. Sing along, dance and celebrate all the hits, colour, sounds and moves of music royalty with Australia\u2019s number one Bee Gees show.<\/p>\n
Acclaimed group BABBA are set to bring out everyone\u2019s inner dancing queen with their performance before Rebecca O\u2019Connor as Tina Turner in Simply the Best takes over. <\/p>\n
Australian Cider Day attendees will round out the night with local cover band Test Pilot Molly.<\/p>\n
The event\u2019s cider making demonstrations at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm will see people come behind the scenes on a rare adventure to explore, taste and learn about crafting boutique ciders from fresh fruit.<\/p>\n
New release ciders will be available for tasting and on the pour throughout the day (only Australian producers who craft ciders from 100 per cent Australian fruit are eligible to participate), as will cocktails by the Flying Brick team. <\/p>\n
And while the grown-ups are sure to be busy, the little ones will be too at the \u201cKid\u2019s COREner\u201d, which features a jumping castle, face-painting and a balloon artist. <\/p>\n
The Australian Cider Day will be held at Flying Brick Cider Co (1251 Bellarine Highway, Wallington) on March 14 from 10am-9pm. <\/p>\n
