{"id":3766,"date":"2017-12-04T12:54:10","date_gmt":"2017-12-04T01:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=3766"},"modified":"2017-12-11T20:47:44","modified_gmt":"2017-12-11T09:47:44","slug":"park-participants-step-pink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/living\/park-participants-step-pink\/","title":{"rendered":"Park Participants step out in pink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Step into Life Torquay turned the park pink with their Pink Super Session Day on Saturday, October 28.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event was run in support of the McGrath Foundation, raising money for McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities\u2019 right across Australia to increase breast health understanding and awareness.<\/p>\n<p>The total amount raised by the Torquay group was $1,660, a total that event organiser Rose Constance was very proud of.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very happy with how the whole day went and would certainly make it an annual event,\u201d Rose said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re a small community group so it was great to see a good amount raised.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The local community was encouraged to join the Step into Life team by dressing up in pink and participating in a fun training session playing games and experiencing a few different Step into Life training programs, such as cardiomax, toneup and boxkick.<\/p>\n<p>The session of 24 participants was held at the Elephant Walk Foreshore, corner of Zeally Bay Road and The Esplanade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Step into Life Torquay turned the park pink with their Pink Super Session Day on Saturday, October 28.
