{"id":39297,"date":"2020-06-25T00:44:18","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T14:44:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=39297"},"modified":"2020-06-25T12:50:59","modified_gmt":"2020-06-25T02:50:59","slug":"reiv-ceo-congratulations-robyn-waters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/real-estate\/reiv-ceo-congratulations-robyn-waters\/","title":{"rendered":"From the REIV CEO: Congratulations to Robyn Waters"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The REIV is hugely proud to share that Robyn Waters has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2020 Queen\u2019s Birthday honours.<\/h3>\n<p>Robyn was recognised for her service to the real estate industry and the community, and this is a very well-deserved honour.<br \/>\nRobyn was born and raised in a real estate family in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and witnessed the industry\u2019s evolution since the early 1980s.<br \/>\nA formidable force in the Victorian real estate industry, Ms Waters was the first Australian woman to be appointed World President of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) in May 2014.<br \/>\nMs Waters\u2019 role with the FIABCI, an NGO member of the Economic and Social Committee of the United Nations, has taken her to 38 countries. Some of the FIABCI\u2019s present work is in the areas of protection of property rights, sustainability and affordability.<br \/>\nShe is the FIABC\u2019s Trustee to the International Ethical Standards Coalition and a fellow of the REIA and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors<br \/>\n(RICS).<br \/>\nShe also served on the REIV Board as Senior Vice President in 2017-18 and Director from 2001 to 2006 as well as being a ministerial appointment to the Estate Agents Council from 2015 to 2018.<br \/>\nMs Waters is a licensed estate agent who operates as a sole trader providing real estate services to a select portfolio of clients.<br \/>\nRobyn has also invested a lot of time in training and mentoring you the next generation of real estate practitioners.<br \/>\nCongratulations Robyn.<br \/>\nAs always, if a buyer or a seller is looking for objective information on the market or an agency, they should head to <a href=\"http:\/\/reiv.com.au\">reiv.com.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The REIV is hugely proud to share that Robyn Waters has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2020 Queen\u2019s Birthday honours.
