In A Grade, Scott Rixon (5) made a triumphant return to form recording 40 points to win the day from pennant stalwart Brett Balloch (0) who recorded seven birdies on his way to a three under 40 points. In B Grade, the other Rixon, Keith (19) returned another great score of 40 points to claim score of the day from Brian Walsh (23) on 39 points. NTP on the 7th hole went to Simon Burriss, 17th went to Ian Davis. Today\u2019s ball pool went down to 36 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday Ladies Ambrose<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Oaks Day Ambrose drew a big field for the ladies\u2019 day with perfect weather to greet the golfers. The formidable team of Susan Barrett, Sharon Stewart, Paulette Payne and Maggie Juniper took out the major prize recording a nett 59.25 over Dot Tattersall, Sue Browne, Libby Fuller and Helen Jackson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men Saturday Par<\/strong><br \/>\nAnother beautiful day in sunny Torquay, and the scores reflected this. In A Grade, we had Andrew Stephens (8) return to striking form with a great score of +3 from Shane McGrath (5) on +2. In B Grade we had John Girling (14) record +4 win on a countback from Bill Burnett (14) also on +4. In C Grade, we had score of the day with Neil Phillips (24) record +8 with a +6 front nine to win from Paul Ludowyk (21) on +4. Ball pool today ran down to square on a countback. NTPs went to Jakey Cranny on the 5th, Shane Collins on the 7th, Chris Coutts on the 13th and Charlie Celi on the 17th. A strong ladies field also went out today with Marg Hales (10) again claiming the competition with a great score of -1 from Jan Selvay (32) with a stellar performance on -2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday Stableford Medley<\/strong><br \/>\nAnother great day at the Sands with plenty of golfers heading out early to take advantage of today\u2019s conditions. Pro Shop employee Riley Siketa took out the competition with 37 points.
