POLICE will prepare a report for the coroner after the body of a man was located on Whites Beach in Torquay today.<\/p>\n

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.<\/p>\n

Earlier this morning, emergency services carried out a search for a missing person in the Torquay and Jan Juc area.<\/p>\n

Police units, including at least one distinctive dark grey helicopter from the air wing, and volunteers from Torquay’s State Emergency Services (SES) unit conducted the search.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson from the SES said the Torquay unit was called in to assist with a line search near Spring Creek Reserve at 9.22am, and the job was declared closed at 12.30pm.<\/p>\n
