BELLBRAE Primary School has continued to foster a supportive environment amidst its growth.<\/p>\n

The school now has almost 500 students enrolled and principal Adrian Waters said the school\u2019s values remain unchanged.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough there has been significant growth there has been a continued emphasis on maintaining a strong culture of community, individuality and inclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bellbrae Primary School ranked above the national average for reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy in last year\u2019s National Assessment Program \u2013 Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests, and takes a highly individualised approach to teaching, encouraging creative and critical thinking.<\/p>\n

Bellbrae Primary School also places great emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), sustainability, school-wide positive behaviours, performing arts and contextualised delivery of subject matter.<\/p>\n

The school is invested in their students\u2019 wellbeing as well as their education offering various support and intervention programs as well as a welfare officer.<\/p>\n

Assistant principal Stuart McCoombe has also helped the school become a frontrunner with its digital learning program. The program includes learning on robotics, coding, and drones to help ensure students are well equipped for the future.<\/p>\n

Improved facilities are also imminent, as the school will soon have a STEM Centre and competition-sized gymnasium.<\/p>\n

The school recently received a $26,669 grant from the state government to aid them in bushfire preparedness.<\/p>\n

Mr Water said these funds would likely be used to remove any potential bushfire fuel from the premises.<\/p>\n

\u201cTraditionally it goes towards grass slashing, pruning trees, cleaning up vegetation and all those typical maintenance things.\u201d<\/p>\n
