THE Sands Resort in Torquay has not yet officially changed hands, with the purported new owners still finalising the sale and the selling agent reluctant to comment.<\/p>\n

The golf course and hotel complex owned by Cloud Abacus Holdings and Odyns Holdings entered voluntary administration in July.<\/p>\n

Receivers were appointed to sell the business one month later, with Colliers International overseeing the expressions of interest campaign.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Glenn Campbell was reported as the new owner of the resort.<\/p>\n

However, when contacted last week, Mr Campbell’s representative said he was not in a position to comment \u201cuntil the sale has been finalised\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mr Campbell was on the agenda to speak about his plans for the business at the annual general meeting of The Sands Residents Association on December 13 but did not attend.<\/p>\n

Colliers International is still advertising The Sands for sale on its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ll release a press release when there’s something to be announced, but at this stage, we can’t say anything,\u201d Colliers International director Guy Wells said last week.<\/p>\n
