It\u2019s also a great way to meet likeminded people and explore untapped creativity within.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe source teachers from all over the globe, often hosting big names in the patchwork industry for workshops \u2013 they can be international or from interstate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur regular classes, such as our ones for beginners, include a list of teachers from the surrounding areas and Melbourne. A number of our teachers also work for us in the store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are always looking for fresh new talent to ensure our class list is always evolving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur class room can fit 20 people quite comfortably, although we rarely host classes that big.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is also a cafe serving locally sourced coffee and small batch, handmade cakes and lunches from our resident chef Tana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2018, Amitie plans to increase its craft stock to include a range of yarn and needlecraft products too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lucy said that beginners looking to try out one of the classes should jump right in, with no question too silly ask.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teachers love sharing these skills and the more people we can convert to handcrafts, the better.
