{"id":5100,"date":"2017-12-21T18:00:33","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T07:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=5100"},"modified":"2017-12-21T18:00:33","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T07:00:33","slug":"epic-wrong-turn-leaves-car-skate-bowl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/epic-wrong-turn-leaves-car-skate-bowl\/","title":{"rendered":"Epic wrong turn leaves car in skate bowl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A WRONG turn of epic proportions has found one embarrassed P-plater on the phone to his father in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to the Ocean Grove Skate Park around 8am after reports of a car in the skate park bowls and discovered the vehicle sans driver.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Shane Connolly said the young driver was not familiar with the area and was attempting to drive over to friends when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe car wasn\u2019t stolen he drove it in there himself, he was driving over to his friends without the lights on and didn\u2019t know the layout and has gone straight down,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe went down pretty slow so didn\u2019t get hurt and there\u2019s hardly any damage to the car or the skate park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot knowing what to do, he got a hold of his dad who has tow truck friends, and they\u2019ve gone down and pulled the car out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one of those bizarre things but there\u2019s not much to it.
