They are:<\/p>\n<p><b>Tourism events category<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Surf Coast Century &#8211; $7,500<\/li>\n<li>Amy&#8217;s Great Ocean Road Gran Fondo &#8211; $7,500<\/li>\n<li>Love Winter in Aireys &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Trail Running Series 3 Anglesea &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Great Ocean Road Running Festival (Marathon) &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Afterglow Night Trail Run &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Surf Coast Trail Marathon &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Great Ocean &amp; Otway Classic Ride &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>The Shifty Fifty &#8211; $2,500.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Boutique creative and special focus events category<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Sound Doctor Presents &#8211; $7,500<\/li>\n<li>Meadow Music Festival &#8211; $7,500<\/li>\n<li>Deans Marsh Festival &#8211; $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Human Rights and Arts Festival &#8211; $5,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Community events category<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles &#8211; $3,000<\/li>\n<li>Art of the Minds &#8211; $3,000<\/li>\n<li>ANGAIR and Anglesea Community Wildflower Weekend &#8211; $2,000<\/li>\n<li>Surf Coast Kite Festival &#8211; $2,000<\/li>\n<li>Winter Solstice Open Water Swim &#8211; $2,000<\/li>\n<li>Christmastime in Torquay &#8211; $1,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to see more and more in-person events returning, and going by some of the participation numbers we\u2019re seeing, the community has really missed them,\u201d Cr Mike Bodsworth said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe benefits of events are wide ranging, from connecting people to boosting the local economy, so I\u2019m pleased that through this program we can help deliver a diverse range of events right across the shire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For all the latest events news, head to\u00a0<b>surfcoastevents.com.au<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SURF Coast Shire events will share in $85,000 as part of the council\u2019s Events Grants Program for the next financial year.
