<\/p>\nAnglesea Art House\u2019s annual exhibition will go ahead despite the Surf Coast Arts Trail being postponed yet again due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n
Cancelled last year and postponed in June this year, organisers are planning to push ahead with the exhibition on the weekend of August 6 to 8 under COVIDSafe conditions.<\/p>\n
Anglesea Art House president Jennifer O\u2019Sullivan said 80 members would exhibit 450 paintings both framed and unframed in all mediums.<\/p>\n
She said this year\u2019s exhibition would include the exciting addition of a 3D display of ceramics, glass fusing and textiles sponsored by Axess Glass.<\/p>\n

There will also be demonstrations held over both days in watercolour painting, oil painting, pastel, printmaking and textiles.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Art House held its first exhibition 35 years ago to give members a platform to display and sell their art and has gone from strength-to-strength with the support of our member volunteers,\u201d Ms O\u2019Sullivan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is one of our major fundraising events, the other being our Kids Art Bash held each January.\u201d<\/p>\n

The weekend will begin with an opening night and awards presentation at 7pm on Friday where members, family and friends can enjoy live music, a glass of bubbles, finger food and door prizes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Art House now has 250 members with 140 attending each week participating in 10 tutored classes and four sharing sessions,\u201d Ms O\u2019Sullivan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Art House has been a very important place for the community to stay connected and creative during the challenging times we have had with COVID over the past 15 months.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur community spirit is alive and well. New members are very welcome to join our vibrant community.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 35th Annual Anglesea Art House Exhibition will be held in the Anglesea Community Hall on Saturday, August 7 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, August 8, from 10am-4pm.<\/p>\n

All entry is via the ticketing system as per the COVID-19 health and safety plan. Tickets are available at EventBrite.<\/p>\n
Entry for the Saturday and Sunday is $3 per ticket with children being free.<\/p>\n
