As a part of the partnership, Australian Beer Ambassadors founder and director Kieran Blood will remain at the helm and has been joined by James Harding and Stacy File from BeerFest Australia, who run several successful craft beer festivals across the nation.<\/p>\n
The trio are already discussing plans for future growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere has been a longstanding relationship and collaboration between GABF and Beerfest,\u201d Mr Blood said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur vision and values are very much in sync and we share a love for beer and a passion for creating memorable experiences.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe experience that James and Stacy bring to the GABF brand is invaluable.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving delivered six COVIDSafe events in the past 12 months together, we are highly confident that the next Great Australian Beer Festival in Geelong on January 15, 2022 will be delivered at the highest possible level.\u201d<\/p>\n
GABF says while it has gained an exceptional amount of experience, reach and added resources, it will remain true to its core values and reputation as Australia\u2019s most diverse and colourful beer festival.<\/p>\n
This includes a continued focus on \u201clocal\u201d beers, with the Geelong region breweries as a priority complemented with some of Australia\u2019s best craft beer producers.<\/p>\n
Festival-goers can also expect an increase in workshops and masterclasses and a massive variety in entertainment.<\/p>\n
GABF will return in 2022 to its new home in Johnstone Park, which was a huge hit in 2020, being just a short walk from the Geelong railway station, offering easier access for locals and visitors, and supporting businesses in Geelong\u2019s CBD before and after the festival.<\/p>\n
