CENSUS night has been and gone, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) estimates it has received 6,229,629 forms in the 2021 Census as of 8am on August 11.<\/p>\n
This figure is up from the 2,388,009 forms received on August 9 – the day before Census night.<\/p>\n
The tally is based on 6,102,992 forms submitted online through the Census Digital Service and 126,637 paper forms mailed to the ABS by households.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019d like to thank the 6.2 million households that have already completed their Census and remind everyone else that it\u2019s not too late to participate,\u201d<\/p>\n
Census executive director and national spokesperson Andrew Henderson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve still got time to complete your Census. We want to make sure everyone is included.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are a range of help and support options available for people who need assistance to complete their Census form including online and phone help.\u201d<\/p>\n
As of Wednesday last week, Victorians had submitted 1,671,818 forms (both paper and online).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
