{"id":57311,"date":"2021-08-24T11:56:36","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T01:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=57311"},"modified":"2021-08-24T16:29:34","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T06:29:34","slug":"covid-corio-village-stores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/covid-corio-village-stores\/","title":{"rendered":"Corio Village stores among local exposure sites for COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOME stores in Corio Village have been listed as public exposure sites for COVID-19, as well as businesses in Lara and Norlane.<\/p>\n<p>This morning (Tuesday, August 24), Barwon Health notified Corio Village&#8217;s centre management that a customer who tested positive to COVID-19 visited the shopping centre in Purnell Road on Saturday, August, 21 between 12.15pm and 2pm.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Corio Village Shopping Centre\u2019s common mall areas and four of its stores have been listed as Tier 2 exposure sites, and all customers and retailers present in these spaces at these specific times are advised to immediately test and isolate until a negative result is obtained.<\/p>\n<p>The five Tier 2 exposure sites are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Common mall areas: 12.15-2pm<\/li>\n<li>Chemist Warehouse: 12.15-1.45pm<\/li>\n<li>Coles: 12.20-1.30pm<\/li>\n<li>Corio Fruit &amp; Veg Market: 12.55-1.30pm<\/li>\n<li>McDonalds: 1-1.45pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a post on their Facebook page, Corio Village centre managment said the centre continued to closely follow the many proactive measures for cleaning, QR code check-ins, social distancing, face masks and support for all customers and retailers in maintaining personal hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will also continue to assist Barwon Health wherever possible with their contract tracing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In line with state government directives, as a provider of necessary goods and services, Corio Village remains open for all essential traders at this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At 2pm today, Barwon Health added six other Tier 2 public exposure sites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday, August 22: Riordan Fuels Lara (Shell) &#8211; 1 Forrest Rd, Lara \u2013 1.25-2.10pm<\/li>\n<li>Friday, August 20: Bunnings Norlane &#8211; 5-19 Princes Hwy, Norlane \u2013 3.15-4.15pm<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, August 19: Coles Lara Village, Waverley Rd, Lara 1-2.30pm; BP Corio, 298 Princess Hwy, Corio \u2013 5.45-6.15pm<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, August 17: Lara Physiotherapy Health Network, 46 Patullos Rd, Lara \u2013 5.35pm \u2013 6.30pm; Lara Post Office 4\/2 Waverley Rd, Lara \u2013 noon-1.30pm<\/li>\n<li>Monday, August 16: Lara Physiotherapy Health Network, 46 Patullos Rd, Lara \u2013 4-5.30pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Barwon Health&#8217;s testing sites have extended hours to cater for increased demand.<\/p>\n<p>For information on where to get tested, head to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barwonhealth.org.au\/coronavirus\/where-to-get-tested\">barwonhealth.org.au\/corona&#8230;\/where-to-get-tested<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For a list and a map of public exposure sites, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/coronavirus.vic.gov.au\/exposure-sites\">coronavirus.vic.gov.au\/exposure-sites<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SOME stores in Corio Village have been listed as public exposure sites for COVID-19, as well as businesses in Lara and Norlane.
