THE NEW Three Tier Lookout providing access at Jan Juc is complete, offering spectacular views of the iconic cliffs and surf breaks across to Bells Beach.<\/p>\n

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority has replaced the old stairs and lookout with a like-for-like timber structure covering about 240 metres in area.<\/p>\n

The new lookout has the same seats and viewing areas and the top levels have improved accessibility ramps and handrails.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Construction took about three months including demolition, with the contractor staging the works to enable public access during the project.<\/p>\n

GORCAPA has thanked the Surf Coast community for its co-operation and understanding while the works were underway.<\/p>\n

The total replacement cost has been about $300,000, funded almost entirely from revenue raised through Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority-managed caravan parks.<\/p>\n
