THE modernised future of Aireys Inlet Primary School is a step closer thanks to the curated designs of Sibling Architecture.<\/p>\n
Western Victoria MP Gayle Tierney announced the architectural firm had been appointed to design the school’s $2.2 million upgrades.<\/p>\n
School principal Jennifer Abel said she was looking forward to the upgrade process getting underway and estimated a project start date of mid next year.<\/p>\n
“The Aireys Inlet School Council is very excited to receive the funds to upgrade and modernise our existing buildings,” she said.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to working closely with the school community in the consultative design phase.<\/p>\n
“Our new building design will ensure that we provide ‘state of the art’ indoor and outdoor leaning spaces inspired by a seamless flow of light and energy from the bush sanctuary at the rear of the school to the sweeping ocean views from the front.”<\/p>\n
Sibling Architecture won the Best School Project in the under $5 million category in the 2020 Victorian School Building Authority awards for the upgrade and modernisation of Ocean Grove’s Surfside Primary School.<\/p>\n
Sibling Architecture will design upgraded and modernised facilities for the school, including the main building to provide students with an environment designed for delivering modern education.<\/p>\n
“We’re making sure every child can have a great education at their local public school, no matter where they live,” Ms Tierney said.<\/p>\n
“This is a great step towards delivering the state-of-the-art facilities that staff and students at this much-loved school deserve and that match the quality of teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
