Torquay will remain open.<\/li>\n<li>Winchelsea Pool will remain open.<\/li>\n<li>Lorne Transfer station will be closed.<\/li>\n<li>Winchelsea Transfer station will be open\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168140\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1.30pm to 3.30pm<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Anglesea landfill will be open from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168141\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5am\u00a0to 10am<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Anglesea Transfer Station will be open from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168142\"><span class=\"aQJ\">9am\u00a0to 10am.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Street litter bins will be collected earlier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Council services on Code Red and Extreme days<\/h2>\n<p>The Surf Coast has a number of communities that face a heightened risk of bushfire during the Fire Danger Period. As a result of this risk, a number of Council and government-run services will change their operation on days of Extreme or Code Red Fire Danger Rating. Schools in Lorne, Aireys Inlet, Anglesea, Bellbrae and Deans Marsh are affected on days of Code Red and Extreme fire danger rating. To find out more, visit the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.vic.gov.au\/about\/programs\/health\/Pages\/emergencies.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.education.vic.gov.au\/about\/programs\/health\/Pages\/emergencies.aspx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1515269440997000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHpjOrW95NTaciXk2Mv8RQxQOnUGw\">Department of Education and Training website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Education and Training also puts in place arrangements for kindergartens that are on the Bushfire At Risk Register as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parents receive at least 48 hours\u2019 notice in writing of any closures on potential days of Code Red bushfire rating<\/li>\n<li>All kindergartens follow their emergency plans on days of Code Red or Extreme fire danger. Kindergarten staff can provide more information on these plans to parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>General council services<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>On days rated as posting Extreme fire danger, Council will attempt to keep services open where possible, with altered arrangements to reflect the fire risk<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visitor Information Centres will remain open pending staff availability and advice from Emergency Services on conditions.\u00a0Services in Lorne, Anglesea or Winchelsea may be reduced.<\/li>\n<li>The Anglesea landfill will open only from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168143\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5am until 10am<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and Anglesea waste transfer station will open from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168144\"><span class=\"aQJ\">9am to 10am.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Lorne and Winchelsea transfer stations may close pending advice from emergency services and staff availability.\u00a0 Contact Council on 5261 0600 to confirm details.<\/li>\n<li>Kerbside waste collection will be collected from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_259168145\"><span class=\"aQJ\">3am to 10am.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Roadside litter bins will be emptied from early in the morning.<\/li>\n<li>Afternoon immunisation sessions in Lorne and Anglesea will be cancelled.<\/li>\n<li>Winchelsea swimming pool and health club would stay open subject to advice from emergency services.<\/li>\n<li>Delivered meals would operate with an altered schedule.\u00a0Some home and community care work in areas of elevated fire risk will be rescheduled.<\/li>\n<li>Community engagement sessions and on-site meetings involving Council staff may be rescheduled to reduce fire risks.<\/li>\n<li>Mobile library services may not operate in areas of elevated fire risk (including Lorne, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet and Deans Marsh).<\/li>\n<li>Senior Citizen\u2019s Centres in areas of elevated fire risk (including Lorne, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet and Deans Marsh) will be advised to close.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On days rated as Code Red fire danger (the highest on the scale), the CFA advises people to leave areas of high fire risk early. Changes to Council services include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No kerbside waste collections will operate, with collections to be rescheduled.<\/li>\n<li>Anglesea Landfill and waste transfer station will be closed.<\/li>\n<li>Lorne waste transfer station will be closed.<\/li>\n<li>Winchelsea waste transfer station will be closed.<\/li>\n<li>Lorne Visitor Information Centre, Anglesea Visitor Information Centre and Winchelsea Visitor Centre will all be closed.
