{"id":61658,"date":"2021-12-02T04:30:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T17:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=61658"},"modified":"2021-12-01T11:50:18","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T00:50:18","slug":"carols-return-aireys-inlet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/carols-return-aireys-inlet\/","title":{"rendered":"Carols to return to Aireys Inlet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Aireys Inlet community will come together this weekend to mark the beginning of the town\u2019s Christmas festivities with an evening of carols singing and a time of reflection on the reason for the season.<\/p>\n<p>Brought to the community annually by the Combined Churches of Aireys Inlet (Anglican, Catholic and Uniting), the Aireys Inlet Community Carols returns after COVID-19 and associated restrictions forced its cancellation in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Organising team member Mary Bremner said the people of the town were looking forward to gathering again for this much-loved community event after the isolation many have been feeling during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The carols usually features a children\u2019s pageant, but Ms Bremner said that this would not be included in the program this year because of COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>Those attending are asked to bring a gift to place under the empty Christmas tree, to be donated to Uniting Geelong for their Christmas hampers for needy families.<\/p>\n<p>Gifts can be suitable for any age group.<\/p>\n<p>The Aireys Inlet Community Carols will take place in the Aireys Inlet Community Hall on Sunday, December 5 from 7.30pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Aireys Inlet community will come together this weekend to mark the beginning of the town\u2019s Christmas festivities with an evening of carols singing and a time of reflection on the reason for the season.
