LAST Thursday saw the annual Jan Juc Surf Lifesaving Club\u2019s Golf Classic held at the RACV Torquay resort, presented by Muirfield Financial Services.<\/p>\n

Teams of four from businesses across the region gathered to play a round of golf across the 18-hole course.<\/p>\n

Brad Papworth from the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club said it was a great day out for everyone involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a full field of 34 teams participating,\u201d Brad said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDaryl Moss and his team of volunteers did a fantastic job in organising the day, including the raffle, auction prizes, winner prizes and on-course activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

The overall winners were a team made up of Andrew Bond, Ryan Warnock, Jeremy Bond and Dean Coleman on a score of 48.75.<\/p>\n

The total amount raised for Jan Juc SLSC during the Golf Classic was more than $25,000, which will go towards vital equipment needed to keep beachgoers safe through the year and especially summer.<\/p>\n
