{"id":62176,"date":"2021-12-19T04:00:44","date_gmt":"2021-12-18T17:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=62176"},"modified":"2021-12-15T12:26:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T01:26:09","slug":"fire-brigade-santa-run-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/fire-brigade-santa-run-returns\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire brigade Santa Run returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TORQUAY kids can catch an early glimpse of Santa on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n<p>The Torquay Fire Brigade will roll out its annual Santa Run again this year, with fire trucks ferrying Mr Claus for visits ahead of his big night dropping down local chimneys.<\/p>\n<p>The brigade will give live public updates about Santa\u2019s whereabouts on its Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, this year\u2019s event will be the last under the watch of co-ordinator Louise Turner.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Turner revived the Torquay tour in 2014 after she shifted from Drysdale and said the Christmas event had played an important role in strengthening the brigade\u2019s connections with the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been very positive.
