{"id":63756,"date":"2022-01-27T13:28:06","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T02:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=63756"},"modified":"2022-01-27T15:03:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T04:03:43","slug":"shark-sighting-at-fairhaven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/shark-sighting-at-fairhaven\/","title":{"rendered":"Shark sighting at Fairhaven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A SHARK sighting has been reported at Fairhaven.<\/p>\n<p>VicEmergency issued an alert at 11.43am for a reported dangerous animal, with its incident map indicating the sighting was about two kilometres west of the Painkalac Creek estuary, near Moggs Creek.<\/p>\n<p>Life Saving Victoria said on Twitter that it had spotted two 2,5-metre sharks &#8211; one at Fairhaven and another at Moggs Creek.<\/p>\n<p>Lifesavers evacuated the water and were patrolling the area on jetskis this morning.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SHARK?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SHARK<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Lifesaver30?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Lifesaver30<\/a> has located a 2.5m shark at Fairhaven and a further 2.5m shark at Moggs Creek.
