Heavy rain last week caused significant damage to bundles of items left on the ground, meaning they went to the tip instead of disadvantaged people.<\/p>\n
Even without extreme weather like last week\u2019s storms, items left outside are usually discarded by charities due to weather damage.<\/p>\n
Several local charities including St Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army and Brotherhood of St Laurence accept good-condition items at bins or in-store at op shops, where they can be moved to a good home.<\/p>\n
