competitor Toni Sier said.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The addition of the \u2018Friendly 4km\u2019 trail provided a new challenge allowing 70 junior runners to be involved with the sun-filled enthusiasm of running on the coast.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 624px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/AngleseaTRS-media-6_07814.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"417\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Many competitors embraced after completing what was a long-awaited event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Richard Schwalb took out the men\u2019s 22km long course with an impressive time of 1:38:58, meanwhile Laura York completed the full trail in 1:52:38.<\/p>\n<p>Medium course (14.7km) winners Emmanuel Hovette and Ruby van Dijk wrapped up 1:01:46 and 1:16:53 times respectively, and David Martinez (32:11) and Matilda LeStrange (37:35) emerged victorious in the shorter 7.8km event.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on how the event went head to www.trailrunningseries.com.au.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE series finale of the 2021 Trail Running Series was a resounding success with optimal weather, magical trails, and uplifting celebrations throughout Anglesea. &nbsp;
