{"id":65195,"date":"2022-03-04T04:45:35","date_gmt":"2022-03-03T17:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=65195"},"modified":"2022-03-02T09:34:41","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T22:34:41","slug":"new-sunday-market-provides-boost-to-anglesea-weekends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/new-sunday-market-provides-boost-to-anglesea-weekends\/","title":{"rendered":"New Sunday market provides boost to Anglesea weekends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A CELEBRATION of community spirit and creativity was on display at Anglesea\u2019s Beach Clean Up and Market.<\/p>\n<p>The event, hosted by Anglesea indoor market and local not-for-profit Cleaner Coast, drew a crowd of people from across the Surf Coast and beyond who helped clean up Anglesea Beach and Foreshore on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>When the clean-up work was done attendees enjoyed live music while perusing a variety of market stalls, food trucks and even refreshing beverages from Bells Beach Brewing Company.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 621px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/Market6_81330.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"621\" height=\"466\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From acoustic musicians to DJs there was music of all flavours on Sunday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the beach clean people had the chance to sit back, relax and listen to some music which has been a common procedure recently with everyone getting back out into the community,\u201d Cleaner Coast\u2019s Kate Griffin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really fun to get together afterwards and feel like you\u2019ve made a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Market organiser Max Stone said the turnaround was short, only getting the go ahead to hold the event two weeks ago, but through her determination and events management background she was able to get several stalls and musical acts together for the day and the timing could not have been better.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 634px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/IMG_6766_55065.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"423\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sunday&#8217;s market organiser Max Stone.
