Ms McDonald said the festival is run by the community for the community, with a gold coin donation entry raising money for the Deans March CFA.<\/p>\n
“There will be some raffles for local community groups, all of the money that’s made will either go back to the individual store holders, or the individual groups,” she said.<\/p>\n
“The real key is bringing the Deans Marsh community together and showcasing local produce.<\/p>\n
“The school play a really big part in the day as well, providing us with pony rides and cake stands, and a number of other activities as well. So it’s really about bringing the community together.<\/p>\n
“All of the music will be Surf Coast locals, so they’ll be given the opportunity to showcase their talents and make a bit of money from a gig on a Sunday afternoon.”<\/p>\n
