THE community would much rather have an aquatic leisure centre than a train line in Torquay, according to a poll run on the Surf Coast Times Facebook page last week.<\/p>\n
The poll, which asked people which of the two options was their priority to be funded at the coming state and federal elections, was seen more than 9,000 times, drew more than 900 votes, was shared 25 times and generated 31 comments.<\/p>\n
In the end, 72 per cent of respondents voted for an aquatic leisure centre pool, while 28 per cent wanted a train line to Torquay.<\/p>\n
