{"id":67813,"date":"2022-04-22T04:30:04","date_gmt":"2022-04-21T18:30:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=67813"},"modified":"2022-04-19T16:03:22","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T06:03:22","slug":"ranger-premieres-short-film-at-torquay-showroom-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/ranger-premieres-short-film-at-torquay-showroom-opening\/","title":{"rendered":"Ranger premieres short film at Torquay showroom opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEB ROBINSON\u2019S career as a helicopter pilot came to life on the big screen Thursday night following Ranger Outdoor\u2019s film premiere after months of shooting and editing in the Northern Territory.<\/p>\n<p>The screening of short film The outdoor people, created by cinematographer Kane Chenoweth, was the perfect way to open Ranger Outdoor\u2019s new showroom in Torquay, marking the next chapter in the journey of the Bellbrae-born clothing company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pumped to be opening up our new showroom to our Ranger family and sharing such a special film about Seb and the incredible part of the world where he lives and works,\u201d Ranger Outdoor co-founder Jess Cooper said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 523px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/DSC01265_12011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"523\" height=\"349\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Seb Robinson (left) alongside photographer Nick Joyce (right) during filming.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The short film showcases Seb, a Northern Territory helicopter pilot, around the wilderness of the \u2018top end\u2019 of Australia.<\/p>\n<p>The film features the remote beauty of the Northern Territory and its wildlife from a breathtaking aerial viewpoint while exhibiting clothing created by Ranger Outdoor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the night was a film and showroom launch, it was really just about getting a lot of our community together and celebrate life,\u201d Ms Cooper said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t see the night as a chance to sell product or give people a spiel about the brand, but it was a great reason to get our supporters together who have been there since the start.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 540px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ranger6_27906.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Country band The Redlands kept visitors entertained on the night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 538px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ranger5_03656.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"538\" height=\"404\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Ranger family was out in force to see the premiere of &#8216;The outdoor people&#8217;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after filming, Mr Robinson was involved in a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the life of outback Wrangler member Chris Wilson and seriously injured Robinson, which has added an emotional element to the short film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incident from last month has left Seb with some very serious injuries which has left him unable to walk,\u201d Ms Cooper said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is now a big emotional factor on top of watching this film about how incredible his life is coupled with the fact that he was involved in this horrible accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe touch on this in the film that we will be there to support Seb every step of the way.
