IN A COUP for local beer enthusiasts, the Anglesea Football Netball Club (AFNC) and Bells Beach Brewing have teamed up on a brew that is sure to make you hop.<\/p>\n
Anglesea Ale is soon to hit the shelves across the coast and is now on tap at Ellimatta Reserve in a big boost for the Kangaroos as the season progresses.<\/p>\n
AFNC president Jamie McKenzie is absolutely thrilled with the new partnership beer, which will go on sale in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are over the moon to be partnering with the Bells Beach Brewing team on a new drop that is sure to be one to get your hands on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Bells Beach Brewing crew have been nothing but exceptional in nurturing our bar staff and club in installing the new beer on tap as well as assisting in taking us through the overall brewing process and how our new beer will look and, most importantly, taste.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since 2015, the Bells Beach Brewing crew have prided themselves on belief and capability and, in the process, have turned their upskilling and experimentation in the beer making department into many award-winning beers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think people should expect a beer that is extremely drinkable and one that is very appealing to the palate.<\/p>\n
Our new beer is certainly not too heavy and just sits perfectly,\u201d Mr McKenzie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom our initial trials at the club, the players and spectators alike have absolutely loved it and we think it\u2019s going to be a major success going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
The team at the brewery have combined with many partners since coming onto the market including the Jan Juc SLSC with their successful Jan Juc Pilsner.<\/p>\n
The Baines Crescent business is equally as excited to be connecting with another great club just down the road.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love making an impact and connections with our local community clubs and when the football club were keen to form a partnership and work on a brew that they could feel some ownership and connection to, we were all ears,\u201d Bells Beach Brewing founder Adam Smith said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Anglesea Football Netball Club is a great local club, and we are thrilled to provide each other with assistance going forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur brewery will be providing the club with a slice of the beer sales while in return it allows us to grow our reach among the community and continue to interact with those who live in these beautiful coastal towns.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look forward to the beer hitting the shelves in the next couple of weeks and continuing to work with the club going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
With each sale of the new beverage, part of the proceeds will go back into the AFNC as part of the brewery\u2019s pledge to assist local clubs in the region.<\/p>\n
