CHOCOLATE lovers are going nuts over a sweet line-up of new flavours at a local Rocky Road festival happening all this month.<\/p>\n
Bellbrae’s Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie is delivering a range of twists on the Aussie favourite, with a new variety on offer for each of May’s 31 days.<\/p>\n
Traditional nut, marshmallow and jelly combinations have been reimagined into new tastes drawing inspiration from cocktails, fresh produce, international cuisines, other sweet treats and children’s fairytales.<\/p>\n
The chocolate factory expects to make 50,000 rocky road blocks by the end of its festival, with customers able to mix and match their favourite flavours or take home a box full of all 31 as part of the celebration.<\/p>\n
The Bellbrae business is also offering tasting sessions this month and online services allowing customers to create their own nutty, fluffy and chewy choc block to be delivered to their door.<\/p>\n
“Our European chocolatiers always marvel at the way us Aussies just love rocky road \u2013 and we really enjoy welcoming visitors to our festival dedicated to this old-time favourite,” Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie’s owner Ian Neeland said.<\/p>\n
