CONTINUING her run of elite form on the World Surf League (WSL) junior tour, Barwon Heads dynamo Ellie Harrison has chalked up another major win.<\/p>\n

Harrison triumphed in the women\u2019s division of the Harvey Norman Sydney Pro Junior at NSW\u2019s Manly Beach on Sunday.<\/p>\n

She was able to take advantage of the high-performance, clean surf of 2 to 3 feet on offer and narrowly edge out Gold Coast pocket rocket Sierra Ker to continue to assert her dominance on the junior series.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In the final, Harrison was able to secure two strong scores in a back and forth affair.<\/p>\n

Her second event win of the year increases her lead on the Australian Pro Junior Series rankings, with the 16-year-old superbly placed to qualify for the WSL World Junior Finals at the end of the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy goal for this year has always been to win the Pro Junior Series and qualify for the WSL World Junior Finals and today\u2019s result certainly get me closer to getting there but there\u2019s still a few events remaining so I have to remain focused,\u201d Harrison said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been a fun event and whilst the waves have been small, they are also quite good, allowing for plenty of scoring potential.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pleasing to take a win here in Sydney.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a lead in to the Challenger Series event which begins on Tuesday, almost 100 competitors turned out vying for WSL Pro Junior points as they all look to lock in a spot at the 2022 WSL World Junior Championships later this year.<\/p>\n

On top of her two pro junior event wins this year at Redhead Beach and now Manly, Harrison has also claimed a second place finish and a third place semi final berth, asserting her status as a threat for the overall Australasian title.<\/p>\n

With these strong results under her belt, Harrison will look to continue her run of form for the remainder of the year and cement herself a spot in the World Junior Titles.
