Artists will open their studios and share their works to thousands during August\u2019s 10th anniversary of the Surf Coast Arts trail.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71902\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71902\" style=\"width: 515px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71902 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/hoopGalleryPhoto_09560.jpg?_t=1655252739\" alt=\"\" width=\"515\" height=\"645\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71902\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The exhibition showcased 75-plus pieces of artwork. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Councillor Rose Hodge said the preview show was a great way of building excitement towards the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year is the Surf Coast Arts Trail 10th Anniversary \u2013 Take 2! It comes after the 2021 event, which marked a decade of the trail, was cancelled because of COVID restrictions,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know people have been counting down to the return of this popular event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe preview show is a fabulous way for people to see a diverse range of local talent from across the shire at one venue, and to start planning their trail weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition features local artists including Andrea Shaw, Jan Francis, Jude Morgan and Deirdre Boeyen Carmichael and features a range of mediums \u2013 ceramic, glass, jewellery, painting, sculpture and printmaking.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is on display at Hoop Gallery until June 26.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SURF COAST residents and the wider community had the opportunity to preview works from participating artists of this year\u2019s Surf Coast Arts Trail at Torquay\u2019s Hoops Gallery.
