Among dozens of first place finishes and high placings, Teagan Reade (Stephanie\u2019s sister) was awarded the honours of under 14 overall champion, Tallulah Rush of Jan Juc SLSC was crowned under 16 overall champion, and William Goldstraw of Ocean Grove SLSC secured third place overall in the under 14 cohort.<\/p>\n
LSV general manager education, sport and club development Kate Simpson praised the state\u2019s representatives for their efforts representing their clubs and the state on the national stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cLSV is incredibly proud of our athletes and officials for their fantastic display of skills against the nation\u2019s highest quality athletes at the 2022 Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships,\u201d Ms Simpson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event showcases the top sporting heroes of pool lifesaving, who are also heroes within their community, as active members of our lifesaving clubs and patrol service.<\/p>\n
\u201cPool lifesaving is not only an opportunity for our lifesavers to keep fit and push themselves against Australia\u2019s best athletes, it\u2019s also a great way for members to stay engaged with lifesaving and aquatic sport during the winter months.\u201d<\/p>\n
