BURGER lovers in Geelong and surrounds will soon have a new option to choose from, with the region’s first Carl’s Jr store set to open its doors in the first week of July.<\/p>\n
Located in the Armstrong Creek Town Centre, the Carl’s Jr outlet has created about 80 jobs in Greater Geelong and the Surf Coast.<\/p>\n
Carl’s Jr Armstrong Creek franchisee Mark Creelman held a VIP night on Thursday last week to give the lucky invitees a first bite of the Carl’s Jr menu ahead of the opening.<\/p>\n
City of Greater Geelong councillor Cr Ron Nelson officially opened the store.<\/p>\n
“It’s fitting that Carl’s Jr has chosen Armstrong Creek as the location for its first store in Geelong,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Currently home to around 20,000 people, Armstrong Creek will eventually house 55,000 to 60,000 people.<\/p>\n
“Firing up a grill and serving customers is a great way to start out your career, and I want to thank Carl’s Jr for creating jobs for young people as they start their working lives.”<\/p>\n
There are several Carl’s Jr stores in metropolitan Melbourne and one in Ballarat, as well as across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.<\/p>\n
Founded in the United States in 1941, the chain now has more than 3,000 stores worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
