NEWCOMB Power\u2019s Grinter Reserve will host the Bellarine Football Netball League\u2019s grand finals as AFL Barwon released key information surrounding the end-of-season venues earlier today (Friday, July 1).<\/p>\n

AFL Barwon regional manager Edward Wilson was pleased to announce the venue confirmations with the highly anticipated Geelong Football League\u2019s grand final still to be determined.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been humbled by the wealth of interest and enthusiasm from clubs, in exploring the opportunity to host finals,\u201d Wilson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis signifies how hotly anticipated this Finals Series is, after two uncompleted seasons due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s CDFNL Grand Final is slated to take place on September 10 at Central Reserve, Colac.<\/p>\n

The GDFL\u2019s Grand Final will also be played on September 10 at St. Albans, preceding the GFNL\u2019s on September 17.<\/p>\n

AFL Barwon is pushing to enable the later dates in the GFNL finals series through the implementation of a bye\/split round for August 20-21.<\/p>\n

Clubs will communicate and co-ordinate with their opposing club to ensure certain games can be scheduled as a “Round 19” fixture. This will ensure no club\/team has two weeks off in a row, leading into the Finals Series.<\/p>\n
